Garcia & Grisman - Grateful Dawg [2000, DVDRIP, documentary]

Grateful Dawg is a documentary film from 2000 which chronicles the friendship and musical relationship of musicians Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. Director and producer Gillian Grisman uses multiple videos, as well as live recordings, to help show this bond between two friends and musicians. It gives a view of Garcia outside the Grateful Dead, a band for which director Grisman has "no time at all.

Grateful Dawg traces the Garcia/Grisman connection from their earliest days as budding bluegrassers, through the creation of the legendary Old & In the Way in the mid '70s, to the Garcia/Grisman Band that highlighted their love of traditional acoustic music in the '90s. Included is rare footage from San Francisco's Warfield Theater and the Sweetwater in Mill Valley, the performance that marked the reunion of these two musical kindred spirits.

Unreleased live audio tracks include "Grateful Dawg," "Sweet Sunny South," "Dawg's Waltz," "Off to Sea Once More," "Sittin' Here in Limbo," "Friend of the Devil" and "Arabia." Grateful Dawg also includes the unreleased music video, "The Thrill is Gone," directed by Justin Kreutzmann in 1991.

Grateful Dead: Dead Ahead [DVDRIP]

Dead Ahead is a concert video by the Grateful Dead. It was recorded at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on October 30 and October 31, 1980.
In contrast to other Dead concert videos, Dead Ahead contains acoustic as well as electric song performances.

Dead Ahead contains songs from the last two New York concerts, October 30 and October 31, 1980. Although the video was compiled from multiple performances, and is shorter than one of the three-set concerts, it follows the general format of one of the shows, starting with some acoustic material and proceeding to a longer section of amplified music, including a somewhat edited "Drums" and "Space".
The video also includes several sketches by the comedy team of Al Franken and Tom Davis. These are from the final night of the tour, October 31, which was hosted by Franken and Davis, and broadcast on radio and on closed circuit TV.

V.A. - Farm Aid 2007 [webcastrip videos]

Farm Aid 2007: A Homegrown Festival
September 9, 2007
Randall's Island
New York City, NY

Farm Aid started as a benefit concert on September 22, 1985, in Champaign, Illinois, held to raise money for family farmers in the United States. The concert was organized by Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young, spurred on by Bob Dylan's comments at Live Aid earlier in that year that he hoped some of the money would help American farmers in danger of losing their farms through mortgage debt.
Today, Farm Aid is an organization that works to increase awareness of the importance of family farms, and puts on an annual concert of country, blues and rock music with a variety of stars. The board of directors includes Nelson, Mellencamp, Young, and Dave Matthews.

The Rolling Stones – Some Girls: Live in Texas ’78 [BD rip] (2011)

The Rolling Stones 1978 tour of the USA in support of that year s Some Girls album is considered by fans to be one of their very best. The tour followed immediately on the release of the Some Girls album and by the time the band arrived in Texas in mid-July the album had hit the No.1 spot on the US charts.
The tour took a back to basics approach, with the band and their music very much at the forefront and little or no elaborate staging. Filmed at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 18th, 1978, this concert is typical of the tour with the Rolling Stones delivering a raw, energetic performance in front of a crowd who are clearly loving the show. Many of the tracks from Some Girls are included in the live set with a sprinkling of Stones classics from earlier albums. Originally shot on 16mm film, the footage has been carefully restored and the sound remixed and remastered by Bob Clearmountain from the original…
