Parliament were one of the greatest funk bands to ever grace the genre, and this is one of their more underrated albums. Besides the obvious attractions of George Clinton’s personas, and an underwater theme, Parliament always provide top notch music via the mind bending bass of Bootsy Collins, and the funkiest keys ever courtesy of Bernie Worrell.
