Countless legions of blues fans around the world can attest to the greatness of Buddy Guy. If you are a fan who heard recordings of Buddy, but never got to see him live and in person that you were deprived of the "other world" charisma and Buddy bond that magically creates with his audience. Many talented musicians can play, but they do not interact with the public. Some do not even open my eyes half the time, and believe it or not, although they like to play, they prefer to play in a recording studio without a audiência.Não so for Mr. Buddy Guy! He is not only an incomparable blues singer and guitarist, but he is also an incomparable artist. He paces and walk from one side of the stage to the next like a caged lion. He constantly makes eye contact with your fans and you feel your inner most emotions. This CD was recorded at Buddy own Southside Chicago Club in 1979, which was intimate to say the least, compared to large venues today. If you ever wished you could go back in time to be part of a blues experience, that today you could only see recreated in the film, Buddy's performance on this CD would be center stage. Friend lives raw performance includes 10 songs, totaling just under 70 minutes. Throughout the show you can hear the fans screaming for the performance of individual fresh blues Buddy exciting.During a poignant song, a minute 16 and 23 second rendition of "The Dollar DONE FELL," a female voice from the crowd can be heard almost constantly begging guy makes every move. Friend, finally, without missing a note says: "Take It EASY MOMMA!" and keeps wailing the blues.
