T. Rex - Electric Warrior [Universal Japan 200g LP] 24-bit/96kHz & CD-compatible format

Electric Warrior é o sexto álbum do grupo rock britânico T. Rex, e é amplamente considerado um dos lançamentos do glam rock por excelência. Electric Warrior alcançou o número trinta e dois os EUA, que foi número um durante várias semanas no Reino Unido, se tornando o álbum mais vendido de 1971. Em 2003 foi classificada como número 160 na lista da revista Rolling Stone dos 500 maiores álbuns de todos os tempos.
O álbum contém dois de T. Rex canções mais populares, "Get It On" e "Jeepster". Nos Estados Unidos, "Get It On", título s foi modificado para "Bang a Gong (Get It On)" para distingui-la de música Chase "Get It On", que também foi lançado em finais de 1971. (A impressão do título da canção "Bang a Gong (Get It On)" na tampa traseira do original Reprise cópias Records dos EUA Electric Warrior é, obviamente, em um typefont diferente do texto circundante, com título original da canção mantida quando a impressão do letra.) "Get It On" foi o T. Rex "único grande e seu hit apenas nos EUA (# 10).

David Bowie nunca foi tímido sobre o reconhecimento de suas influências, e desde a decadência boho e ambiguidade sexual da música do Velvet Underground, teve um grande impacto sobre o trabalho de Bowie, era apropriado que, como Ziggy mania Stardust estava atingindo seu pico, Bowie iria oferecer Lou Reed alguma ajuda tão necessária à sua carreira, que foi preso em ponto morto depois de seu primeiro disco solo veio e se foi. SINOPSE:
O Planeta Selvagem, animação da França e da Tchecoslováquia, foi a grande vencedora do Festival de Cannes de 1973. O filme pode ser entendido como uma metáfora surrealista da ocupação russa na Tchecoslováquia. No planeta Yagam, vivem humanóides chamados de Oms onde são ou escravos ou feitos de animais de estimação. Terr, um dos Oms acaba por receber educação e se revolta contra os gigantes Draggs, até então os que mandavam no planeta. Dirigido por René Laloux, morto ano passado e responsável por outras animações como “Os Mestres do Tempo” e “Gandahar”, todos de ficção cientifica, “O Planeta Selvagem” é seu melhor filme, um clássico cult da animação.



SOBRE:
Numa época onde reina a animação tridimensional criada em computadores, é refrescante assistir um filme quase artesanal como O Planeta Selvagem, longa-metragem tcheco-francês dirigido em 1973 pelo estreante René Laloux (que mais tarde faria Les Maîtres du Temps), e agraciado com o Prêmio Especial do Júri do Festival de Cannes daquele mesmo ano.

Num planeta chamado Ygam, vivem os Draags, raça de gigantes azuis de mais de dez metros de altura. Seres humanos, resgatados de uma Terra devastada, servem de animais de estimação para as crianças Draag. O Planeta Selvagem conta a história do humano Terr, e através dele vamos descobrindo a civilização ao mesmo tempo estranha e familiar do povo Draag. O planeta selvagem do título é um satélite de Ygam, para onde viaja a consciência dos Draags durante a meditação, uma atividade sagrada para eles. Lá acontece um fenômeno mágico fora do alcance e da compreensão dos humanos - até que Terr e sua tribo, ao final da história, descobrem o segredo e o usam como arma de libertação.

Baseado num romance de Stefan Wul, Oms en Série, o filme apresenta uma animação simples e pouco fluida, mas com desenhos de sombreados detalhados e backgrounds imaginativos. Uma planta sádica que mata passarinhos só por diversão e um tamanduá voador que come humanos em vez de formigas são somente dois exemplos entre muitos numa flora e fauna alienígena divertida e desconcertante.

Stefen Wul (pseudônimo do dentista e escritor francês Pierre Pairault) escreveu vários livros de sucesso no gênero da ficção-científica, entre eles Niurk, sobre um mundo submerso, e Le Temple du Passé, sobre um alienígena humanóide que é engolido por uma baleia na Terra e mais tarde resgatado por gente que acredita ter encontrado um sobrevivente da Atlântida. Mas sua obra só ganhou grande repercussão graças à versão animada de O Planeta Selvagem (nos EUA, o filme chamou-se Fantastic Planet).

A ficção-científica é aqui muito mais ficção que científica, e as maravilhas tecnológicas dos Draags não são explicadas e passam por vezes para o terreno da fantasia. A narrativa de O Planeta Selvagem é simples, quase em tom de fábula. Pouco a pouco, vamos descobrindo que por trás da estranheza do cenário e da civilização alienígena, temos seres com as mesmas paixões e as mesma fraquezas que nós. Os Draags são tão humanos em seu comportamento quanto seus humaninhos de estimação.
